Carmel Cottage with its enclosed courtyard garden offers very comfortable self-catering accommodation. The cottage is situated in the heart of the historic village of Laxfield, close to the popular market towns of Framlingham and Halesworth. The Suffolk Heritage Coast is a short drive away making it an ideal location for exploring the popular tourist routes such as Southwold, Dunwich, Minsmere, Orford, Aldeburgh and Snape.

Laxfield has a 15th century church, 16th century Guildhall Museum, two historic pubs, circular walks, footpaths and carriage rides throughout the year. A well-stocked village shop and post office are a short walk away from the cottage.

Not to be missed is The King's Head, known locally as the Low House, voted one of the five best pubs in the UK by The Daily Express in 2005. You can enjoy a pint sitting in the high-back settles around the cosy fire or sit in two other rooms, in addition to the restaurant. There is also a splendid garden to use in the summer. All seated areas are arranged around tables with a warm welcoming atmosphere in which it is almost impossible to ignore your fellow guests.

Ground floor: Well-equipped kitchen: with fridge freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, electric hob & oven. Lounge: double sofa bed, dining room/conservatory with tiled floor and French doors leading to the courtyard garden with patio furniture, ample seating, rose arbour and BBQ.

First floor: 2 bedrooms -1 5ft double with large fitted wardrobe, 1 single, 1 shower room with toilet, basin and shaver point.
